As a grossery chain they are not that great. Deily department sells almost exclusively Borshead which is high in everything (sodium, phosphate, ect); so even though it may taste good, it may not be the best thing for you. Fish are all frozen like in all grossery stores. Their fish however do not look particularly fresh. Bakery is just all right. Produce are good but expensive. Their other items are usually expensive. They are the only chain that you have to be very careful on their sale items. I consistently attempt to purchase items on sale and at the register they come up at the regular price. You have to get a price check or show the person at the register that the item is on sale. I usually go elsewhere for sale items for this reason. The thing that S&S has in its favor is 10 for 10 sales, which are great! However lately even with these sales you have to be careful. :-(

Three times I've purchased the multi grain loaf from the bakery. Hard as a rock each time. Somebody needs to figure out why this store cannot deliver a quality loaf like the other stores. Love the new store but I need better bread from you guys.
Not impressed - guess it's hard to like after foodtown. Or I just don't like an unorganized supermarket with high prices, and really terrible produce! 2 stars for the same staff who are helpful in navigating the disaster.
Closest grocery store to my home. Everything is easy to find and the weekly sales are pretty good. Employees are relatively friendly. Place is usually busy.
